On October 13, the 2024 National Fitness Tour: Beijing and the Beijing Fitness Open wrapped up in Beijing, attracting over 500 participants and more than a thousand spectators. The competition featured three main events: comprehensive fitness challenges, skill obstacle courses, and fun fitness activities, divided into adult and youth categories.
During the event, participants from various regions showcased their skills on the course, creating an exciting and tense atmosphere. Parents proudly captured moments of their young athletes in action, expressing how the fitness open contributes to their children’s overall development and personal growth. Many children, having completed their races, took photos with their parents to commemorate this special achievement.
Among the participants was Zhang Fucun, a marathon enthusiast who shared his thoughts with us. “The course was challenging yet manageable. The fitness open encourages everyone to focus more on their health and improve their physical fitness,” he stated.
One of the standout features of this year’s event was the inclusion of five fun fitness activities, which attracted numerous spectators eager for participation. This initiative brought a lively and joyful atmosphere to the venue, effectively merging the entertainment value of the event with opportunities for audience engagement through enjoyable formats.
Local resident Wang Rong expressed her excitement about the activities, saying, “I just participated in the ‘Mini Reaction Dodge’ event with friends. It was a great workout, and I had so much fun! I look forward to trying out more professional courses in the future.”
The fitness open is designed to cater to a wide range of skill levels, offering a high-level competition platform for fitness enthusiasts while also providing an experiential platform for those new to fitness competition. This aligns perfectly with the initiative of promoting fitness and health for everyone.
The event was hosted by the General Administration of Sport of China’s Social Sports Guidance Center and the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau, with local organizations, including the Beijing Social Sports Management Center and the Tongzhou District Sports Bureau, handling the organization.
