Thousands of miles of colorful rivers and mountains, beautiful Chinese paintings spread among green waters and green mountains

Recently, after a refreshing autumn rain, the majestic cloud sea over Laojun Mountain in Luoyang, Henan, has captivated many onlookers. As the rainwater mingled with the mountain air, the clouds began to swirl between the peaks. In the evening, the setting sun broke through the mist, casting a golden glow across the landscape, enhancing the beauty of the ever-changing cloud formations.

Laojun Mountain is the main peak of the Funiu Mountain range, which is a spur of the Qinling Mountains. The high humidity after the rain, combined with the interplay of warm and cold air from the north and south, creates this breathtaking cloud sea phenomenon, especially given the steep cliffs on either side of the mountains.

In another scenic spot, the Hukou Waterfall located in the Jinshan Valley recently showcased a stunning sight of waterfalls meeting rainbows. This magnificent waterfall, known for its incredible force and unique geography, drew many tourists and photographers eager to witness the spectacle. As the sunlight hit the mist created by the waterfall crashing into the river below, a vibrant rainbow emerged, perfectly framing the thundering water. This beautiful juxtaposition provided visitors not only with a visual treat but also a deeper appreciation for the wonders of nature.

Moving to Yunnan, the Puzhehei Scenic Area in Wenshan is currently ablaze with autumn colors. With the arrival of the frost season, the maple forests in the Xiaohongpo region have transformed into a breathtaking palette of reds, greens, golds, and oranges. Viewed from above, the lush leaves form a magnificent tapestry against the backdrop of distant mountains and tranquil waters, creating a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere under the sunlight.

In Shanxi, the Taiyue Mountain area has recently experienced its first rime frost of the autumn season. This enchanting frost cloaked the mountains and forests in a delicate white veil, contrasting beautifully with the colorful vegetation and adding a touch of romance to the landscape.

In Qinghai, a wildlife camera captured stunning footage of a snow leopard at Qinghai Lake. The clear images displayed a healthy snow leopard roaming gracefully, occasionally rubbing against rocky surfaces and engaging in a territory-marking behavior known as “scraping,” before striding away confidently.

In another remarkable event from Qinghai, wildlife enthusiasts recently recorded a migration of over a hundred Tibetan wild donkeys in the Sanjiangyuan National Park. These wild donkeys formed a long line, moving thoughtfully along ridges and beside lakes, sometimes trotting, sometimes walking in unison. As a nationally protected species, Tibetan wild donkeys symbolize the lush biodiversity of the Tibetan Plateau, thriving in harsh alpine desert conditions at elevations between 4,000 and 5,500 meters.
