King Charles returning to ‘normal’ schedule next year

In a recent interview, a Buckingham Palace official shared insights about King Charles’s recent trips to Australia and Samoa, describing them as a “perfect tonic” for the monarch. The official indicated that the King is expected to resume a “normal” schedule of overseas engagements in the upcoming year.

“This marks the end of his most significant overseas journey since beginning cancer treatment, and we’re optimistic about what lies ahead,” the aide explained.

Looking ahead to 2025, the palace is making plans for a full slate of international tours. “We’re working on a program that reflects a more typical overseas engagement schedule, and it’s encouraging to conclude our year on such a high note,” the official added.

Interestingly, the King faced heckling from an Australian senator during his visit, but he remained “completely unruffled.” The monarch views free speech as a fundamental aspect of democracy, responding to the disruption with grace.
