On the afternoon of October 9th, a Japan Airlines flight faced an unexpected turn of events shortly after takeoff. Originally scheduled to depart from Narita International Airport and arrive at Taoyuan Airport, the flight had to return for an emergency landing due to a tail fin issue.

However, just minutes after departure, the crew detected problems with the tail fin. Consequently, the flight was rerouted back to Narita, with an anticipated landing time of 1:55 PM local time (12:55 PM in Taiwan).
