Graphene floor heating in Duchang, Jiangxi Province -Flies into ordinary people’s homes-

On October 8th, I had the chance to visit the Jinmingfu community in Duchang County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, where workers were actively installing graphene underfloor heating systems. As they meticulously assembled the electric heating film and laid it over a waterproof layer before covering it with flooring, I was truly impressed by the innovative techniques being used. Mr. Yu, a local resident, shared his enthusiasm about the installation, stating, “The graphene heating film is not only thin but also has an impressive electric heating conversion efficiency of 99%. It really helps save energy, and its longevity is remarkable.”

It’s interesting to note that traditional underfloor heating systems typically depend on heated water circulation, which can be inefficient and slow. In stark contrast, graphene heating can warm the floor surface in just 5 to 10 minutes. This technology also brings several benefits, such as being waterproof, electric-leak-proof, and resistant to corrosion.

I spoke with Chen Yongqing, a representative from a local company, who shed light on the increasing interest in graphene heating technology. “The market potential for graphene underfloor heating is tremendous. We’ve seen a notable rise in inquiries from both families and businesses interested in adopting this technology,” he mentioned. Recently, more than ten prospective customers visited the site, and seven of them expressed a clear intention to proceed with installations.

Beyond graphene underfloor heating, local companies are also innovating with related products, including graphene engine oil and smart wearables, which are making everyday life easier for locals and significantly enhancing their satisfaction.

Duchang County is making impressive progress in areas like emerging materials, renewable energy, and high-end manufacturing. The local government has been proactive in promoting the “Returnee Economy,” which has successfully drawn many expatriates back to start new business ventures. This initiative has fostered the production of high-tech products that consume fewer resources and produce less pollution, pushing the county’s economy toward a greener, low-carbon future.

I also learned about the establishment of the Duchang Extreme Heat Technology Graphene High-End Application Innovation Park, which has received a total investment of 5 billion yuan. This innovation center, focused on the graphene industry, is anticipated to spur the development of various downstream industries, including wellness products, home goods, and garment manufacturing. Currently, the park holds over 200 practical and invention patents, clearly illustrating how technological innovation is fueling the growth of new productive forces in the region.
