How Huawei Disrupts Smartphone Globally

Huawei, a prominent player in the global technology landscape, has officially launched the HUAWEI Mate XT, which has quickly garnered international acclaim as the Best Smartphone in the world.

Before its official debut, the Mate XT already made waves with over eight million pre-orders. While the starting price was set at $2,800, its high demand and limited availability saw some lucky pre-order customers reselling the device on the black market for more than $20,000.

Although international shipments are still in progress, Nigeria has been fortunate enough to receive three units of this cutting-edge smartphone. Last week, senior executives from Huawei had the privilege of presenting a sample of the Mate XT to Mr. Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman of Zinox Group and Konga Group, at their headquarters, Yudala Heights, located in Victoria Island, Lagos.

During this exclusive showcase, Ekeh was able to experience firsthand a device that seamlessly integrates analytics and AI, tailored to enhance the lives of contemporary users. Huawei representatives pointed out that this demonstration was a nod to Ekeh’s significant contributions and leadership within Nigeria’s tech industry, which plays a vital role in driving digital progress across Africa.

Grateful for the honor of being the first Nigerian to experience the Mate XT, Ekeh expressed his thanks to the Huawei team. He shared his earlier aspirations to acquire units of the smartphone but noted the staggering global demand and limited stock. As he revealed the device to his guests and staff, Ekeh stated, “This remarkable innovation inspires me to pursue longevity and embrace the potential that technology offers. Thank you, Huawei, for your exceptional contributions to our industry. I look forward to our continuing partnership.”
