The first of its kind in the Bay Area… Warrior Chase Center is building a 30,000-square-foot bar and could open as soon as early next year._1

The Golden State Warriors announced this week that they will be opening a new 30,000-square-foot sports bar called “Splash” in Thrive City, the vibrant area surrounding their home venue, the Chase Center. Set to open in early 2025, this bar promises to offer fans an advanced game-watching experience and will be operated by Sidecar Hospitality, co-founded by the prominent Asian entrepreneur Andrew Chun.

As the first of its kind in the Bay Area, Splash will span two levels, featuring four bars, an upscale dining area, and over 75 TVs, including an impressive 840-square-foot curved LED screen, along with multiple indoor and outdoor areas.

The Chase Center highlighted that the bar will not only have the gigantic LED wall but also incorporate the latest audiovisual technology. For instance, a video scrolling ticker, stretched around the 20,000-square-foot indoor area, will display scores and breaking news from sports events. Every seat, whether inside or outside, will have a great view of the screens, and the bar’s sound system will be centered around a DJ booth, delivering an exhilarating sound experience during games.

Beyond its indoor amenities, Splash will boast 10,000 square feet of outdoor space that includes a pet-friendly patio, an outdoor bar, and large TVs. Guests can engage in a variety of games throughout the area, featuring golf simulators, pinball machines, pool tables, shuffleboard, and foosball. Additionally, the bar will offer several unique areas designated for hosting private events of various sizes.

The cocktail program at Splash will be crafted by Kevin Diedrich, owner and operator of Pacific Cocktail Haven, which was recently nominated for the prestigious 2024 James Beard Award for “Outstanding Bar.”

Moreover, the bar will feature a diverse selection of beers, including 16 unique options and a curated list of natural and biodynamic wines, with an emphasis on California varietals.

Sidecar Hospitality, co-founded by Asian entrepreneurs Andrew Chun and Jan Wiginton, operates some of San Francisco’s most renowned bars and restaurants. Their journey began in 2008 with the opening of Press Club, an award-winning 9,000-square-foot wine lounge and event space. Following that success, they acquired and revamped Schroeder’s, a historic German beer hall over 130 years old. In collaboration with Diedrich, the company launched Pacific Cocktail Haven and Kona’s, both celebrated cocktail bars.
