By outdoor-nature-child.com On the afternoon of October 15, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Aojiao Village in Chen Cheng Town, Dongshan County, Fujian Province, to gain insights into the local efforts in promoting comprehensive rural revitalization.
Aojiao Village is located in the southeastern part of Dongshan County, bordered by the sea on three sides and covering an area of 6.83 square kilometers. Leveraging its remarkable coastal environment, the village has been advancing the coordinated development of five leading industries: marine fishing, aquaculture, seafood processing, e-commerce, and rural tourism.
Currently, Aojiao Village boasts 88 high-powered steel fishing boats, 38 seafood processing enterprises, 117 seafood e-commerce businesses, and 41 homestays. In 2023, the village reported a collective income of 1.73 million yuan, with per capita disposable income for farmers reaching 58,000 yuan. The village has also earned several accolades, including recognition as a National Civilized Village and one of China’s Most Beautiful Fishing Villages.
