Flex card can be used to purchase various products such as Tak Shing Hong’s Chinese medicinal materials, fruits and vegetables.

On October 24, TS Emporium announced an exciting update for Medicare Flex Card holders. Starting now, these individuals can not only purchase over-the-counter traditional Chinese medicine products at TS Emporium but also fresh vegetables, fruits, and a variety of everyday groceries.

During a press conference held at the San Gabriel location, Hubert Chang, the Market Manager of TS Emporium, stated that the company has partnered with Nations Benefits, enabling Flex Card users to utilize their cash benefits to buy a range of products, including Chinese herbs, American ginseng, bird’s nest, and seafood, as well as fresh produce and daily necessities.

Previously, Flex Card holders were limited to purchasing over-the-counter Western medications at pharmacies like CVS. However, thanks to this new partnership with Nations Benefits, consumers can now access a diverse array of Chinese medicines, supplements, and fresh fruits and vegetables at TS Emporium. This initiative is available at five locations across the Los Angeles area, including industry city, Roland Heights, Monterey Park, and San Gabriel.

The Flex Card is a cash savings card available to beneficiaries of the Medicare Advantage plan. This card can be used to cover out-of-pocket medical expenses as well as to purchase OTC medications and groceries. Generally, the Flex Card features three types of wallets: the OTC wallet, the Grocery Wallet, and the Reward Wallet, which can now be used to buy Chinese herbs and fresh produce at TS Emporium.

Michael Parker, Chief Operating Officer of Nations Benefits, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are excited to partner with TS Emporium, which has served the Los Angeles community for over 40 years. This not only makes it easier for members to access nutritious foods and essential health products but also aligns with our goal of supporting diverse communities.”

Hubert Chang emphasized the importance of this partnership in better serving the community and providing a convenient way to access essential items. “We are proud to join the Nations Benefits retail network, expanding our product reach, especially within the local communities that our stores serve.” He noted that Nations Benefits’ philosophy of “Food is Medicine” aligns perfectly with TS Emporium’s belief in the concept of food and medicine being one.

Founded over 40 years ago, TS Emporium is the largest supplier of traditional Chinese medicine, American ginseng, and Asian delicacies in the United States. The company excels in standardization and quality management of its herbal and health food products, ensuring stable and reliable collaboration with health insurance companies. TS Emporium also guarantees the freshness of its vegetables through daily farm deliveries and offers unique health products like goji berry juice and reishi mushroom coffee.

The gathering also featured key team members from TS Emporium, including Sales Manager Vincent Chan, Customer Relations Manager Liu Huiling, Administrative Assistant Veronica Lin, and E-commerce Manager Yanki Wong, showcasing the collaborative spirit behind this groundbreaking partnership.
