-AI+- empowers high-quality employment. Big data and artificial intelligence help precise docking between supply and demand.

The “Golden Autumn Recruitment Month” event is taking place nationwide, and our reporter has uncovered some intriguing insights during the interviews. Notably, many recruitment venues are integrating modern technologies like big data and artificial intelligence to facilitate precise matching between job seekers and employers. Let’s take a closer look at the current situation based on our reporter’s exploration.

In Shunyi District, Beijing, the local Human Resources Public Service Center holds themed job fairs every week. Early on a Friday morning, the job-seeking hall was already bustling with people.

Through conversations with job seekers, our reporter found that many, particularly younger individuals, often make their first stop at the career guidance room right behind me. Here, a newly launched AI-powered resume system assists candidates with mock interviews.

A staff member explained that the AI simulation interview training system includes a wide array of common questions typically asked by human resources, helping candidates practice and enhance their overall performance.

After participating in virtual interviews with an AI interviewer, job seekers receive immediate feedback on various aspects, including appearance, speech pace, and the depth of their answers. The generated analysis report and video playback of the mock interview can be accessed through mobile devices, allowing candidates to revisit and practice.

Nearby, many people were lined up to use the AI resume editing system. The staff informed us that once job seekers input their desired job positions, the AI automatically generates a tailored resume template and provides optimization suggestions, making the resumes more targeted.

In areas with significant labor mobility, many individuals are opting for flexible employment. Some cities are creating digital platforms that combine online and offline resources to connect employers and job seekers through multiple channels.

At 8 AM in the gig market of Mingxi County, Sanming City in Fujian Province, crowds of people were already consulting for jobs. Along with face-to-face discussions with employers, many candidates were using mini-programs with assistance from staff to search for job opportunities.

For instance, 37-year-old Wu Meixiu recently relocated to the county town to support her child’s education. During school hours, she took advantage of her free time to look for a job and quickly found a position through this platform.

These digital platforms not only facilitate an “on-demand” job search but also offer online skills training and payroll services. Staff can utilize operational data from the platform to monitor gig workers, transaction processes, and improve regulatory oversight and qualifications checks.

Chen Lijun, head of the Employment Promotion and Unemployment Insurance Division at the Sanming Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, shared that since the launch of the gig market, over 154,000 gig workers have registered, with more than 35,900 transactions completed. Currently, all 11 counties in Sanming have access to the gig market.

Additionally, targeted initiatives are in place for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Across various regions, tailored approaches are employed to connect job opportunities with those facing employment challenges.

In Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, a group of workers was seen crafting traditional performance hats. According to the staff, this workshop was set up specifically for local residents. With hands-on training from a mentor, 40-year-old Wang Ailian quickly learned the craft.

Wang Ailian commented, “I discovered this training and job opportunity by chance on the community’s online platform. I decided to give it a try.”

The online platform Wang referred to is a comprehensive employment assistance network developed in Liangxi District, Wuxi, which spans communities and streets. It allows for the quick import of information about job seekers in urgent need of positions, which is then distributed to various neighborhoods. Community coordinators verify the information personally while providing job openings tailored to candidates’ needs and organizing relevant skills training.

In Shushan District, Hefei City, a project facilitating supportive employment for individuals with disabilities has brought various resources together. Social organizations and local businesses operate “Homes for the Disabled,” with government financial support relieving some of the burden on employers. Currently, there are ten such institutions in Shushan District, covering nearly all the streets in the area.
